Riverside
Art markets, riverfront parks, and some of Jacksonville’s best food and nightlife, all within walking distance.
Park Once, Walk Everywhere
Riverside is the one neighborhood in Jacksonville where you can hit a farmers market, a museum, a riverfront park, dinner, and drinks without ever moving your car. Its historic streets run along the St. Johns River, from the Riverside Arts Market under the Fuller Warren Bridge to the restaurants, bars, and antique shops of Five Points, Park Street, and King Street. Even the essentials are walkable, with a Publix right on the corner by Memorial Park.
Where Art Meets the River
Riverside has long been the home of Jacksonville’s artist community. Start your Saturday under the bridge, then walk the riverfront to one of the city’s best museums.
Saturdays • MarketRiverside Arts Market
Every Saturday, the space under the Fuller Warren Bridge becomes the Riverside Arts Market, with local art vendors, food trucks, and live music, right by the St. Johns River.
Skate Park • Green SpaceArtist Walk Skate Park
Right across Riverside Avenue from the Arts Market, this brand-new skate park was built for kids to enjoy, and anyone who wants to relax can hang out and have lunch here too.
Museum • GardensCummer Museum of Art & Gardens
The museum started with one woman’s private art collection. When Ninah Cummer passed away, she left it to Jacksonville. Out back, the riverfront gardens host events, with pretty flowers and gorgeous views of the St. Johns River.
Memorial Park & the Riverfront
Memorial Park is one of the best green spaces in all of Jacksonville. It’s the kind of place where you want to bring a picnic basket and a blanket and just relax.

Memorial Park
Opened on Christmas Day, 1924, the park was built by local groups to honor the roughly 1,200 Floridians who died in World War I. It’s the third-oldest park in the city, designed by the famed Olmsted Brothers firm. The huge lawn is a true community gathering space, and you can sometimes spot dolphins in the river.

The “Life” Sculpture
The winged bronze figure at the center of Memorial Park is called “Life,” by sculptor Charles Adrian Pillars. It has become the symbol of Riverside.
